Our Mission

> To build a strong case for support for Alabama’s independent colleges and universities and promote a greater appreciation of independent higher education and its importance to the educational, cultural and economic needs of Alabama and the nation.

> To provide a unified, collective voice through which its members can exercise influence in matters of common interest and develop and advocate legislation that will enable members to effectively serve their constituents.

> To strengthen its resolve to provide financial support to its member schools through active participation in fund development campaigns, collaborative purchasing agreements, and streamlining of business practices.

> To develop and oversee the administration of scholarship programs designed to ease the financial indebtedness of students and create opportunities for sustaining enrollments at its member colleges and universities.

> To facilitate a spirit of cooperation and readiness through participatory research and collaboration desired by member institutions in the quest to strengthen the liberal arts and professional studies, choice and excellence, degree completion and employment opportunities for students.
