Faulkner University, founded in 1942 as Montgomery Bible School, is a liberal arts university affiliated with the churches of Christ. Even as the third largest private college in Alabama, it still offers small classes with a 19 to 1 student–faculty ratio. The main campus is located in Montgomery, with campuses in Huntsville, Birmingham and Mobile. Aside from offering bachelor’s, master’s, and Juris Doctor degrees, Faulkner’s Jones School of Law is also accredited by the American Bar Association. The University is also home to the Great Books Honors College, study abroad programs to Italy and England, and Montgomery’s only year-round dinner theater. As a member of several athletic associations including the NAIA, NCCAA and SSAC, approximately a third of the University’s students participate in intercollegiate athletics. Faulkner University strives to glorify God through education of the whole person and emphasize integrity of character in caring Christian environment where every individual matters every day.
