Tuskegee University Joins AAICU

On January 24, 2012, the Board of Directors for the Alabama Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (AAICU) voted to extend membership to Tuskegee University. AAICU engages Alabama’s private colleges and universities to work collaboratively in areas of public policy, cost containment, and professional development to better serve the state and its citizens. AAICU’s member colleges and universities educate nearly 23,000 students from across the state, country, and throughout the world.
Tuskegee is located in Tuskegee, Alabama and through its seven colleges and schools and Centers of Excellence, offers a curriculum for success that includes courses in engineering, the natural and physical sciences, the health sciences, business and computer science, aviation science, the social sciences, education, and fine and performing arts.
With the addition of Tuskegee, AAICU represents 15 private colleges and universities across the State. Membership in AAICU is limited to independent, non-profit, regionally accredited colleges in Alabama.
