It originally was established to educate black men for the ministry and at various times has served as a high school, farming operation, junior college, trade school and a school of nursing. Now, as a four-year, fully accredited senior college, Stillman offers small classroom settings for individualized instruction. The college both affirms its history and tradition and embraces a future that is interracial, multicultural and pluralistic. Stillman’s 105 acre campus, noted for its stately magnolias, meticulous grounds and graceful buildings, is located within walking distance of downtown Tuscaloosa and 52 miles southwest of Birmingham.
